We The People

On November 4th in #Charlottesville and November 6th in #Richmond, VA, hundreds of people of every age and race are lifting their voices together to unite us all for equality, diversity, justice – making the “We The People” music video and mini-series. Everyone is invited. Partnering organizations include One Voice Chorus, Community 50/50, Ix Art Park, Charlottesville High School’s Global Citizens, Six Points Innovation Center, The ARTS Community Center, and many more adding each day. Details for the shoot locations and times, and the lyrics to Stephan Said’s powerful song are below. The beautiful “We The People” butterfly artwork was made by renowned New Yorker cover artist Eric Drooker. See you there. Contact us if you want to participate, or help organize, or just show up!

We The People

We are one and we’re many
We all want to be free
We the people marching onward
Til we get equality
Unstoppable like a river
Flowing homeward to the sea
We the people marching onward
Until everybody’s free

Every color and we’re different
We all got dignity
We the people marching onward
Til we get equality
Unstoppable like a river
Flowing homeward to the sea
We the people marching onward
Until everybody’s free

From the country to the city
Til we end poverty
We the people marching onward
Til we get equality
Unstoppable like a river
Flowing homeward to the sea
We the people marching onward
Until everybody’s free

And when everyone is singing
Together we’ll be free!
We the people marching onward
Til we get equality
Unstoppable like a river
Flowing homeward to the sea
We the people marching onward
Until everybody’s free
